Relion Scientific LLC develops, manufactures, sells, and services cold-cathode "optical" cathodoluminescence petrography systems for use by geologists and other material scientists. Our primary product is the RELIOTRON CL system.

CL petrography systems typically have several components, including a vacuum chamber that can mount on a compound or stereo microscope stage, with an attached electron beam source, a control unit including a high voltage power supply, a vacuum pump, the microscope, digital camera, imaging software and a computer to run it on.

Of course, we provide service for the RELIOTRON CL system, but we can also often service LUMINOSCOPE and other cold-cathode CL systems. We can service your CL system on-site in your lab, or can do more extensive repairs or complete refurbishment in our shop. Contact us for a quotation.

On a case-by-case basis, we will consider acquiring old CL systems for refurbishment and re-homing, which in turn means that sometimes we have available refurbished CL systems for sale at a substantial savings over purchasing a new system. We also deal with vacuum pumps and microscopes (and other components) as well.

If you are still trying to decide whether a CL system would be useful to you, we usually have the capability to do CL imaging of your samples in our lab, to test whether the technique yields the kind of results you are looking for.
