This microscope is used and presumably dates to 2018; two small holes (threaded M3) have been drilled in the base illumination model for mounting a Cathodoluminescence petrography system. This Nikon LU Plan Fluor BD 50X CFI60 Infinity Series objective is for Brightfield, Darkfield, and Nomarski DIC observations, particularly in Reflected Light (Episcopic Illumination). It has a 1 mm working distance, but also a spring-loaded end piece to protect the objective in case of a crash. The optics are clean and bright. Includes an extra tall polycarbonate objective storage container from Thor Labs. It has an M32 x 0.75 thread in excellent condition. Intended for use on Nikon Eclipse L and LV series Industrial microscopes, but may work on other microscopes using the Nikon CFI60 Infinity optical system. $750 plus shipping.
